Jamaican Rocksteady legend Prince Buster dead at 78.

Prince Buster passed away in a hospital in Miami after experiencing heart problems. Buster had suffered from strokes in his later years, one in 2009 left him unable to walk again.

Prince Buster was a godfather of both ska, and rocksteady and his early recordings laid the groundwork for what would become reggae. Buster’s impact on both the Jamaican musical landscape and World music in general cannot be overstated.
